Event Details

Historical newspapers hold information about past people, places, events and possibly, your family! This community history is often not recorded in any other source. The Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC), with over 3.4 million pages of freely available historic Colorado news, is an important primary source for students, teachers, genealogists, and general researchers. Leigh Jeremias, Digital Collections Senior Consultant, Colorado State Library will join us to share key website features, tips and tricks for searching, the CHNC digitization process, and how titles are added to the collection. We'll conclude with a tour of the new genealogy section at LINC.
Event Type(s): Lifelong Learning, History and Genealogy
